Hello, my name is Riley! 👋

Riley supports individuals navigating all things dating, desire, confidence, sex, breakups, and self-worth. She also enjoys working with students and individuals experiencing anxiety, loneliness, and loss of direction during life transitions.

Have you ever wondered how conversations about sex might come up in a session? Are you curious about better understanding your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours around sex and intimacy? Whether you are exploring your sexual turn-ons and turn-offs, looking to build confidence in expressing your desires, or experiencing sexual challenges or genital pain, Riley offers a supportive space to better understand and navigate these experiences together.

Riley is a sex-positive therapist who enjoys supporting individuals by helping them connect with their sexual selves. She welcomes conversations around pleasure, desire, intimacy, and sex with curiosity, which can often be difficult in a world where these topics are frequently met with shame or silence. Riley also supports individuals and couples in improving communication around sex and desire. Her goal is to provide clients with a welcoming, person-centred, trauma-informed, and evidence-based space to discuss sexual pain, sexual challenges, and sexual frustrations.

In sessions, clients can expect a conversational and collaborative approach, with a variety of techniques and reflective prompts to encourage clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and relationships more deeply. Riley draws from a combination of Emotionally Focused Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Cognitive and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness, Somatic and Solution-Focused approaches, tailoring her approach to each client’s needs. Riley also believes that sprinkles of humour can deepen the connection, trust, and rapport that she forms with her clients.

Riley offers a warm, comforting and nonjudgmental space where you can be your authentic and genuine self. Riley is a curious lifelong learner and approaches each person she meets with openness, acceptance, inclusivity and compassion.

Outside of her professional life, Riley cherishes time with her family, friends, and pets - Juno, Beaumont, and her chickens. She enjoys biking, hiking, travelling, playing soccer, watching movies, reality TV, listening to podcasts, and staying active at the gym.

Robyn’s Biography:

Robyn holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a registered member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), after having received her Bachelor of Honours in Psychology from the University of Guelph. She also has a bachelor’s in international business.

Robyn is a firm believer that community is a major component of maintaining health, mental health, and well-being. Her passion lies in approaching each individual where they are currently at, with a trauma-informed lens. She specializes in supporting individuals through fertility, relationship challenges, navigating cultural and gender norms, and centering their needs while helping them thrive. Working with trauma-exposed professionals (first responders), survivors of intimate partner violence, and individuals living with cancer has taught her that healing happens in community, and she aims to be part of yours.

She is a trauma-informed and client-centered therapist, drawing on a variety of evidence-based and culturally relevant techniques that best fit your needs. Her goal is to take your lead on how you wish to go through the therapy process and incorporate any cultural or community practices you find essential to your well-being. Having lived, worked, and studied in over 32 countries, she understands the intricacies and loneliness that come with starting a new life from scratch. She is passionate about advocating for gender, racial, and ability equity within our communities, and her current research delves into the intersection of intimate partner violence, brain injury, and new relationships for survivors. She provides therapy in both English and French.

Outside the office, you will find her absorbed in learning, travelling, climbing, dancing, or reading.

Hello, my name is Alexandre! 👋 What has surfaced in the empty spaces of your calendar?

If your silences have lost their quiet, and your breaks no longer hold rest - thank you for being here.

My approach is centered on building a strong alliance with you, inviting the clarity and courage to reclaim your hopes, your strengths, and the wisdom of your scars.

Through the many journeys I have walked alongside clients, I specialize in working with family and relationship traumas, communication and emotional expression, anxiety and stress, grief and loss, and newcomer and minority experiences.

If religious or spiritual practices are a part of your world, I also bring years of personal and clinical experience helping clients develop rich and authentic spiritual selves. I am also passionate about the intersection of our personal and digital selves - exploring how our algorithms, digital worlds and even gaming playstyles can serve as windows into ourselves.

Drawing from a thoughtful selection of evidence-based modalities, my approach prioritizes the most powerful agents of change found in psychotherapy research - our alliance and your engagement.

In our sessions, you can expect warmth, authenticity and curiosity, sprinkled with insights and humor that will invite the best in you. I believe nearly all change begins with curiosity - and when properly nurtured, can be akin to a superpower. It can serve as a balm for rigidity, a spark for connections, and our keys to new possibilities.

I can’t wait for us to meet you.

Outside of sessions, I am a storyteller at heart. You can find me running Dungeons & Dragons campaigns and catching up on psychological shows and anime — Severance, Pluribus and Arcane are recent favourites. I love spending time in nature, whether it’s camping, hiking, biking or playing soccer or tennis. I recharge spending quality time with family and friends… until my inner introvert kicks in and needs a break. This is when I enjoy dabbling in poetry, getting lost in open-world video games, and adding more books to a library I have accepted I will never finish.
