Ruba Chihabi
(She/Her/Hers)
Hello, my name is Ruba! đź‘‹
Taking the step to begin therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when life has felt heavy, confusing, or overwhelming for a long time. My hope is to offer you a space where you feel welcomed, deeply respected, and never judged. You don’t need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. We can start exactly where you are.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Master of Arts in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy from Wilfrid Laurier University. Before becoming a therapist, I spent close to ten years working in finance and government services, while also volunteering with refugee communities locally and internationally. These experiences continue to shape how I understand people’s resilience, the complexity of their stories, and the systems they are often trying to navigate.
Having grown up with many cultural influences, I bring a perspective that helps me appreciate the realities people face across different communities and life stages. I welcome clients of all backgrounds, faith traditions, and identities. My practice is trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and culturally responsive, and I work to adapt therapy to your values, language, and cultural context. I am also attentive to the unique stressors of migration, intergenerational dynamics, and navigating multiple cultural worlds.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and flexible. I draw from psychodynamic therapy, Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy to help clients better understand themselves, make sense of patterns beneath the surface, and move toward greater clarity, self-trust, and connection.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief that healing becomes more possible when people feel truly heard, supported, and met with care rather than criticism. Therapy can be a place to slow down, explore what is beneath the surface, and reconnect with who you are in a more intentional and compassionate way.

Robyn Mahood RSW, MSW
Robyn’s Biography:
Robyn holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a registered member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), after having received her Bachelor of Honours in Psychology from the University of Guelph. She also has a bachelor’s in international business.
Robyn is a firm believer that community is a major component of maintaining health, mental health, and well-being. Her passion lies in approaching each individual where they are currently at, with a trauma-informed lens. She specializes in supporting individuals through fertility, relationship challenges, navigating cultural and gender norms, and centering their needs while helping them thrive. Working with trauma-exposed professionals (first responders), survivors of intimate partner violence, and individuals living with cancer has taught her that healing happens in community, and she aims to be part of yours.
She is a trauma-informed and client-centered therapist, drawing on a variety of evidence-based and culturally relevant techniques that best fit your needs. Her goal is to take your lead on how you wish to go through the therapy process and incorporate any cultural or community practices you find essential to your well-being. Having lived, worked, and studied in over 32 countries, she understands the intricacies and loneliness that come with starting a new life from scratch. She is passionate about advocating for gender, racial, and ability equity within our communities, and her current research delves into the intersection of intimate partner violence, brain injury, and new relationships for survivors. She provides therapy in both English and French.
Outside the office, you will find her absorbed in learning, travelling, climbing, dancing, or reading.

As an experienced client herself, Stef recognizes and honours that therapy can be overwhelming and intimidating, especially at the outset. Knowing this, she strives to create comfort and a felt sense of safety by infusing humour into her sessions, and by taking the time to get to know each client’s strengths, values, and unique attributes. These vitally important parts of who we are are often so tragically eclipsed by setbacks and stressors, and Stef wants to help you rediscover and harness them in the service of developing resilience and growing into the person you want to be.
You’re not struggling because you’re incapable, weak, or doomed: being human is just insanely tough sometimes. Stef would love to walk with you to help you find meaning and vitality amidst the messiness of it all.
