The goal of her research was to find ways to help couples and families heal and grow through adversity.

Since beginning clinical practice in 2014, Shannon has worked with a wide range of clients and developed specialties in supporting high-conflict couples, families experiencing divorce/separation, children and adolescents who are experiencing mental health issues, and people impacted by domestic violence.

Shannon is extremely passionate about working with couples - it is this work that inspired her to become a therapist.

Shannon knows how much courage and strength it takes to reach out and begin therapy. With a gift for highlighting her clients’ inherent strengths and resiliency, Shannon’s clients often comment on her ability to help them feel empowered to make changes and tackle obstacles. She also is renowned for helping her clients come to recognize what factors are within their control and guiding them in a direction that creates sustainable change in their lives. Graham holds a Master’s of Social Work degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, having previously obtained a BA in Psychology and Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Waterloo.

As a Registered Social Worker, Graham has cultivated a passion for helping teens, adults and the elderly overcome hurdles that get in the way of them being their best selves - including anger, grief, addiction, anxiety, depression, chronic illness, and interpersonal conflict. As someone who has personally battled both addiction and ongoing chronic illness, Graham is well positioned to partner with his clients and collaborate with them through a thoughtful, level-headed and supportive style, with the hope that they, too, can work towards living a more balanced, centered and peaceful life.

Graham understands deeply how healing and growth can come from surprising places, and be anything but a straight path. Knowing this, Graham will work with you to identify and reach for the kind of life you want to live – preferring to act as a non-judgemental guide and mentor, as opposed to telling you the kind of life you should be living. Because of this, Graham prefers to keep things laid back and personable in session, giving you the safety and space you need to fully explore what’s challenging you.

Outside of the office, Graham is a frequent attendee of metal concerts, a passionate home cook and gardener, and a seasoned backcountry camper. Having lived in the Waterloo Region his whole life, he hopes now to continue to give back to the community that supported him in his own journey.
