As a therapist, Ghazala strongly believes that each of us has the potential to live our best lives. We can do this when we learn how to take control of our situation by keeping ourselves calm and collected in stressful moments, when we are able to identify and challenge distorted thought patterns, and when we become ready to change behaviours that perpetuate negative cycles. Sometimes, we can achieve this without any external or professional support. However, at times when we routinely feel stuck, disappointed, emotionally overwhelmed, frustrated, angry, negative, and anxious, we need professional help to regain control in managing emotions and life’s difficulties.

Ghazala has received extensive post-graduate training in various therapeutic approaches including EMDR, CBT, DBT, EFT, Gottman Relationship Therapy, Solution Focussed Brief Therapy and Clinical Hypnotherapy. She is a certified EMDR therapist and EMDRIA Approved Consultant. Ghazala strives to sharpen her professional skills in order to serve her clients in the best way possible. She applies a strength-based, client-centered approach and tailors her therapeutic interventions to meet one’s specific needs. Ghazala conducts structured and goal-oriented therapy sessions to help with achieving desired outcomes.

Trained in Emotionally Focussed Therapy (EFT), Ghazala is passionate about helping couples and families to strengthen positive relationships and identify toxic behaviour patterns that keep them stuck in negative cycle. The sessions explore attachment needs and longing for love and connection in a safe and supportive environment. Couples/families practice verbalizing deeper emotions and develop new ways of secure bonding and interacting positively.

Having first-hand knowledge and exposure to diverse cultures and faith, she incorporates your personal values and cultural/ethnic and spiritual beliefs to make your counselling experience more meaningful and productive.

In her spare time, Ghazala enjoys workout classes, swimming, hot yoga, travelling, socializing with friends, and spending time with family. She is an active community member and likes to volunteer for causes that are close to her heart.
